Question Brake caliper/rotor question

Hello to all. I am new to the forum and the Rover world. I have a 98 disco LSE with probably all the common problems.

my question is do I have to remove the very short steel brake line from caliper to junction to replace the front rotors? I cant seem to find a wrench that fits snug, and have a feeling it might break. I guess im wondering if there is any play there to move caliper off rotor and back.

if I do break the line, can napa outfit me with a replacement?

Thanks for the help.

Pop the metal clip at the rubber line and take a cut off tool to cut a slot in the bracket you can then pull the junction through the bracket and slide the metal line through the slot you cut BE CAREFUL DO NOT CUT THE LINE this also makes it easier to do the swivel adjustments

Or you could unbolt the line from the caliper, sizes are metric if you can't find the size your stuff is probly rusted away and will need replacing

If you follow the hard line back from the caliper you'll find where it meets the rubber line. If you can unbolt that bracket you can leave the hard line attached to the caliper and move the whole thing out of the way.
If you break the hard line you can buy a 12-18" length with fittings from the auto parts store for about $5 and just bend it how you need it.

Thanks for the tips. Just what I was looking for. Everything is pretty rusty so I think the banjo bolts probably shrunk. I will try Toms suggestion to not disturb anything for now. thanks again.
