Brake Master Cyl.

Brake Master Cyl.
So my Saturday went like this, wake up and notice small wet spot on front drivers mudflap... I already know what this is...DAMN! pop the hood and exactly what I suspected, one of the girling seals between the resevoir and the cylinder is leaking (this is fairly common). Oh well, I'll order the part on Monday and get it replaced this week.
So Brandon comes over Saturday afternoon and we work on his new rig from NGAROVER then he helps me take the roof off my Series cause it's winter and in Florida it is great driving around without that top. Plus, it is soo much easier to install my headliner and repaint the top... wooops. Come Monday morning the temp drops to 30 ish and i have to drive the '66 to work. Thankfully my Kodiak heater works like a champ. HOWEVER, 50 mph winds at 30* sucks no matter what.
I was able to source a brand new (don't bother with cheaper remanufactured units) Brake Master Cylinder with Resevoir and level sensor for $250... IN TOWN with no shipping and no waiting til Wednesday or Thursday (thanks to Paul at C&H auto). WOOO HOOO Got home tonight and 40 minutes later (including bleeding) new unit installed and I get to drive with heat tomorrow... forecast temp of 28 low and 50 high tomorrow. Good timing.
And for all you Northerners chirping "Screw you and your 50* heatwave"... I'l be in shorts and a t shirt this weekend.... HA!
Now to sit my my fireplace and relax.
