My 97 SD had those, guess I should've kept them and swapped you for the TWR's...... dang.

Have you had the truck appraised yet? I would, doubt there are many left of the 50. I would not touch a thing except to keep it mechanically functional for now. I wouldn't even wax it, might loose the rest of the pinstripes.

What is a TWR wheel? Where would you get such a Rover appraised?

Thanks,
Paul

The wheels on your rover are TWR.

I doubt you will find anybody that can give you a real appraisal. Yes, it's 1 of 50. But who will pay a substantial premium for the badge, pinstripes, etc.

The options on the rover are LSE package(wood on center console, 2 tone door panels, etc.)

Nice looking, but I wouldn't count on sending the kids to college from the proceeds if you were to sell it.

Collectors collect rare. Good thing you didn't snag it or it would be parted out by now...... 1 of 50, you got one? Apparently nobody here does. To a British auto collector it's worth historical value. The value of a 95 RRC is getting up there, why wouldn't this? I doubt it's worth one semester...... What is mundane today won't be tomorrow though.

Paul, talk to an insurance company that insures collector vehicles. They can point you in the right direction. Tom Walkenshaw Racing - TWR.

Default 50th Anniversary Picture

Better picture of the front of the Rover. Has 116,200 miles and is running strong. I replaced one of the lens of the Safari 5000 lights and have a second on order from Rimmer Brothers to make them match up better.
If you would like to see other pictures of any other area just let me know.
Happy to share.
Paul

No, I don't have one and have never seen one. Sure it has some value as a 1 of 50, but what's different about it? A badge and a pinstripe? If it had some special drivetrain mods like a P38 Callaway that would be another story. 95' classics have many 1 year only parts making them more desirable for an already collectible platform, the RRC. In my novice opinion Discoverys will never be a collectible model.

Anyways, cool find and no I would not part it out. I normally part out discos with blown motors that have no value in fixing them.

This baby will not be parted out under my care. I have a 99 DISCO II that is my daily driver.

Wait, Disco's won't be collector items in the future? Dang, I'll just have to drive mine.

Have did a few searches on this forum but do not see much detail.

Thanks,

Pretty cool. My 98 is definitely not one of fifty. Does yours have every accessory known to LR or is it the badges and stripes that define it? I see it does have those ridiculously expensive cup holders, though.
