that looks good! I will be taking the bull bar off of mine soon....something about it doesn't look right....I may leave it off or somewhere down the line put a different bar on there but that stock one I just don't car for too much....the plastic coating is peeling and it is rusting...looks like it is weighing the bumper down don't know how else to describe it...

I had a factory installed bull bar on my old Disco... the powder coating had flaked and looked terrible. Took it off and Bondo-ed it then repainted the whole thing. Looked alot better. And it did seem to make the front end sag more, or maybe I just had bad suspension on that one. Anyway good luck with your mods

Looks sharp, how are you going to incorporate the extensions of the frame mount hanging off the front edge?

Is that a custom grill by chance? It looks sharp

I'm in the process of doing the same, unfortunately the phillips screws that hold the end caps to the lower spoiler are rusted to **** and I've spent days trying to get them out..

What did you use to cut the end caps?

Yeah? The grille I did myself. It's in the sticky section. Called Saudi grille. Costs ten bucks if you have a dremel. Totally easy.
The bumper caps I also used a dremel. Followed the line that ran the length of it. Made it easier than thing to cut em flat. This might be the best photo I have.

As for the screws, soak em in pb blaster and if that doesn't work cut em out. From what I remember the part is the caps that I kept didn't have screws holding them to the air dam, they stop like half way up. Sonsince you're scrapping the air dam anyway. Cut those suckers out. It's only molded plastic.

As for the frame bumps in the middle I'm thinking about mounting a pair of Hellas right in to the top of the bumper above them to add some balance. Other than that nothing. I don't think you want to put recovery points or anything of that Ilk on a factory bumper.

I think I like my plastic center cap on mine better than taking it off. But anyways, I used a zip saw for my mod, worked flawlessly, about ten minutes, then sanded the rough edges... viola!

I've got the same Rover. I really like how you've added to yours. Is there any way you can post some pictures of your lift? I'm thinking about throwing one on mine and would like some idea of what it'll look like.

All the **** I've done only truck has been for relatively low money donor wouldn't be too hard to do. This first thing you'd have to do if you want your truck to look like mine is go out tooling in the snow and smash your front end into the trailer hitch of a chevy avalanche so nothing on your front end ever lines up again. Like mine. If you want photos of my lift search threads fj80 lift by CUpgt and cheap lift by AKdisco. My **** is all over that. Then like I said, Saudi grill in the sticky and up next for me is tires, Hellas and maybe a headliner.

Thumbs up

Nice mods guys!!! I had my Disco less than 2 Weeks now and started taking shape. First mod was change the stock tyers with brand new Michelin Latitude 265/70/16 . Obviously during flexing it is rubbing the rear fender and therefore second mod was a Camel Cut to rear fenders. Went to the front bumper and accomplished same cut as yours I still like the plastic cover mounted in the Middle. Now looking for a Bull Bar to mount it as central piece. Couldn't figure out what would be but thinking that need to be mounted to the Chassis directly. Yet looking to have a recovery hook in the front any ideas? Some pictures for illustration.
