Bumper options - Front and Rear
Looking to replace the front and rear bumpers on my 95 D1. Was originally going to get some High Country Bumpers - but they closed up shop.
Any options other than spending $2k+ on Rovertym.
I don't weld - nor know anyone who does, so unfortunately I can't make my own..

First, let me apologize for hijacking your thread a little, but this has been a recurring theme in my mind for a year now as well.
I am a MechE / 3d CAD guy and am also interested in creating a new bumper, particularly the for the front end. The reason I mention my vocation is that creating a cutlist/weldment/assembly drawing for manufacture is cake, I have some basic stuff I scratched out in Catia as to what I think it should look like. What has stopped me so far is a lack of time to remove my existing front bumper to get proper dimensions for mounting and to get a good look at what else might be lurking under there. I am happy to share my time/skills if others would like to get involved, perhaps we could flog this into a full fledged Land Rover Forums group project as I am quite sure many others share a desire for a cheap, easily fabbed but handsome bumper upgrade.

geek_IM - Let me know how I could help. I currently have my front bumper off and could take pics and measurements....
Eric - Yeah. When I first bought my D1 I looked into the ARB bumpers. From what I gathered they aren't all that strong (arguably), but more important I don't really like the look. What I would really like to get is:
Lucky8 Llc. - Take the road less traveled...
But I don't see throwing a bumper that is probably worth more than the vehicle as a smart move...
