Cabin air filter replacement
As long as it does not keep out red headed women.
Peter Gibbons: What would you do if you had a million dollars?
Lawrence: I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man.
Peter Gibbons: That's it? If you had a million dollars, you'd do two chicks at the same time?
Lawrence: Damn straight. I always wanted to do that, man. And I think if I were a millionaire I could hook that up, too; 'cause chicks dig dudes with money.
Peter Gibbons: Well, not all chicks.
Lawrence: Well, the type of chicks that'd double up on a dude like me do.
Great movie... favorite quote.
sorry, thread was getting back on topic, trying to derail it.

Thank you, I needed that.
I had a hard time finding the right thickness foam at the time I was lookiing. I eventually ended up buying the pre-cut package from Roverparts along with other items I ordered for something like $17 if I remember correctly..

ok so this thread looks like it is fun to post on so I will join in, so if I always keep my recirculate button on will replacing that filter make much of a difference for me?
and Phil, is the picture with Texas on it to show off your roof rack or your shiny new ladder?

The roof rack and the fact that a 195k Rover can make the 2400+ mile trip with no problems.
Great tech post!
I was just looking at my pollen filter the other day and wondering why AB was charging $18 for the pre-cut pieces. And even with inflation (based on the price tag on your original picture; it is $3.49 at my HD) the HD product is much less expensive. Dang, even the most expensive "high-end" material HD offers is half the price of the "Genuine" parts.
I'll be adding a stop to my local HD on my weekend Rover maintenance "stuff" run.
Btw, I also have a Swingline, but it is basic black; not as cool as yours.
And Office Space rules! I am a software guy, and I used to live in the bay area, so I totally identify with that movie. The opening scene with the traffic jam was a daily reality for me for 5 years. I also felt like beating the crap out of few printers back in those days.

My local HD did not have the exact product you used, but they had a nice sheet of this stuff:

I paid $8 and used barely 2 inches on one side. The thickness is almost the same as the original material, so I didn't need to break out my Swingline.
Here is the finished job:

The original material disintegrated in my hands, so it was obviously time to replace it:
Indeed I will!
