When doing some work on my 96 Disco, I noticed that a wire linkage/connector was missing in my engine compartment. I have no idea what it's called or the name of the black assembly it is connected to (I searched on various sites using the names in the D1 Service Manual, but could find nothing). If anyone can identify it for me, I would be very appreciative. If you can suggest where to source the part, I would be even more appreciative. The missing linkage is indicated in this engine compartment image I found on the web.
Here is a picture of all the CC parts - but I dont have a reference to what part number 3 is called - I assume someone here has a parts manual - you can buy the actuators new but I doubt the part #3 you are referencing is probably a pick-a-part

Salud,

the black part forward of your missing part is the diaphragm for the vacuum-driven system (independent of the engine's vacuum). The tube coming off that and moving towards the driver's fender T's off to the firewall and brake pedal, and the other side goes to a pump that's somewhere around the driver's side headlight. I'd assume everything would work fine minus the cruise control, but it it doesn't or if you want to recover your CC, PM me and I can pick what you need off an extra plenum I picked up.
