Looking at a 98 Disco 1 and read about the "blink" method in the tech section but it didnt really specify if you had a scanner if you could go that route. I've got an OBD2 scanner, can I just read the ABS codes that way or is the blink method the only way to diagnose without going to a dealer? Forgive all of my recent threads and questions, just may buy this thing tomorrow so I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row. Thanks in advance for any help

Sorry, you need a special ABS scanner. Like Hawkeye Diagnostic Tool for Land Rovers - D.A.P.

 

A regular OBD2 won't help with the ABS codes, but the blink method does work.

 

I never tried the "blink" method on a DI past 1995. I didn't think it could be done but I also could be wrong.
