Default code 1178 fixed?

After the code showed up I sprayed the MAF connector with WD 40 (and any others I could get to easily), reset it and so far no more check engine light. Thanks to the archives! It has been about a week now. Is it likely to reappear or does a week with no light mean it's probably fixed?
Thanks
Alan

All depends on the number of start's, miles driven, and the severity of the "problem".

Depends on how often and for how long the truck is driven. After a month I'd say it's solved but all it takes is one bump where the connection is lost momentarily for the light to pop again. WD40 is passing electrons while it remains fluid but as soon as it dries....connection lost.

I spray my seat switches with WD40 and it lasts about two weeks.........

I wish it was that easy for me. I've cleaned the MAF/AFM, the connections, replaced the o-ring, checked for vacuum leaks. That code comes up every couple of months.
