Code 14-Coolant Temp Sensor/Fuel Temp Sensor

Code 14-Coolant Temp Sensor/Fuel Temp Sensor
I replaced the valley pan gasket (this summer) and after putting everything back together I had a really high idle issue. Found it to be throttle sticking. Easy Fix.
I've had error code 14 since I put it back together. Keep in mind this is a 95 DI, so OBDI it is.
I replaced the coolant temp sensor, hoping this would solve the problem. It did not, but the truck ran better.
I have been looking all over the internet for what wires go to what sensor. I checked the RAVE electrical diagram and the wire colors it gave, were not the colors I have.
I have white/gray and red/black on a multi plug connector. This is currently attached to the fuel temp sensor.
Then I also have yellow/solid and brown/solid on a multi plug connector. This is currently attached to the coolant temp sensor.
I get the error code 14 regardless of what way they are connected.
I also can't find error code 14 test procedures that everyone talks about. I know it involves a resistance meter but thats all.
Today I replaced 1 multi plug connector because the red wires insulation was split, I was hoping it was just shorting out but its not.
Does anyone know if the coolant temp sensor and the fuel temp sensor are the same? Because every time I google fuel temp sensor, coolant temp sensor comes up too.
Can anyone give me any insight as to what I should do to solve this issue?
THANKS!

Code 14 is for the Engine Coolant Temperature. Code 15 is for the Engine Fuel Temp Sensor. Code 14 can also be a locked up viscous or thermostat not working. For the tests you have to go into the Range Rover Classic manual and it's listed under "Fuel Injection". It's in the 14 CU section and is the same for the 14 CUX with the exception of the Tune Select Resistor which was a new to the 14 CUX.
You can rule out the Fuel Temp sensor, even the wire colors are correct.

I was going from Land Rover Troubleshooting: retrieving fault codes and looking at "Code 14 - Coolant sensor
Usually indicates a bad fuel injection coolant sensor. May also indicate a bad engine thermostat or a stuck viscous fan clutch. Refer to test 14, continuity test procedure."
Thats why I thought it was the fuel temp sensor.
I already replaced the coolant temp sensor recently... I don't believe the viscus fan is locked up, because a "roar" at start up is normal, and then it settles down to sound normal.
I can order a new thermostat (thats cheap) and replace that. What do people use in the DI? I run a 180 in my DII.
Thanks for the help!

Just started missing with this again....
I ordered a new fuel temp sensor and put it in. Same issue. hmm
I then received error code 14 (cleared) then 03 memory code then 02. Cleared all of these codes and #14 comes back.
Is it possible to hook up a fuel injector clip into the coolant /fuel temp sensor? I doubt I did this, but anything is possible I suppose.
I should note that it does NOT want to start when cold (less than 50 F). Also my temp gauge on the dash does not work.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what else it could be?
Thanks

part # amr1425 is the sender for the dash gauge.....single wire sender also mounted in the front of the intake manifold
as for the code 14...other than what has already been mentioned, I would start by following the wires as far as you can, its possible ther is a short or otherwise poor connection somewhere and the sensor's input isnt getting to the ecu
