Connecting to OBDII port problems
Over the past few months Ive been trying to reset my adaptive values so far I think Im on the right track but Ive hit a snag. When I started I used a T4 to check codes and see what some of the operating values were looking like. I had no codes and all operating values were normal. Great, no problems there the rover would talk to the T4 all day long. Next step was to plug in a Autologic computer which would be the first attempt at a reset. However I could never get the Autologic to talk to the ECU. It would just say connection failed or no connection. The guys at the shop didn't think it would connect because they hadn't used it on a D1 in years so I figured that was the case. Fast forward about a month. Im now trying to use my laptop to talk to the ECU and send a program that someone wrote on another forum to reset the values. However, I can't get my computer to connect now. So Im thinking its a problem with my car now. I unplugged the ECU and opened it up and it looks brand new inside. Ive tried to chase the wires to see if any are loose but so far they look good. So im wondering if anyone has ran into this before or knows of something that im looking past.
