Hello to All,

New guy to the forums here and I gotta quick question if anyone out there can help a dude out....it would be appreciated.

Pertaining to my 99 Disco I SD, N.American LHD, Automatic, 4.0L, V8, with Heater and AC hooked up and working.....

At the water jacket under the plenum/intake the jacket has the 2 nipples, one nipples connects the shorter hose to the manifold and the other nipple connects the much longer hose that runs to the radiator, top right.

QUESTION IS :
Which nipples feeds each hose? Does it even matter??

I'd say for simplification it'd be best to call them the inner and outer nipples, the inner being closest to the engine and outer being to the left side of the vehivle, proper.

My photos taken beforehand were all lost. I've been able to reconstruct most everything but I'm getting inconsistent and differing information from the Rave manual and it's pictures, as well as other folk's Internet pictures and parts diagrams.
I wouldn't think it's matter as the jacket seems to not affect flow and it seems to create a simple cavity where two sources meet, but....engineering and all....

Thanx for anyone on this one. Surely more to follow. I've solved most problems but without my pictures of where everything went.....ugh.....KIDS !!!!!

 

 

Excellent. That'll definitely clear it up then. Long hose to radiator is the outer nipple. Thank you sincerely!
