Question Coolant in number 3 cylinder

1994 disco with 3.9 260,000 second owner, first owner did heads & cam lifters 20,000 miles ago. Heads have arp studs all cylinders have 160 psi oil pressure is 45 cold , 45 psi hot @2500 rpm 25 psi @ idle im thinking intake gasket.there is no smoke or steam from exhaust but exhaust smell and small bubles in over flow tank sometimes it uses water somstimes it does not I pull the parkplug after it sits ten minutes sometimes there is water in number three cylinder sometimes not .When it does use water it is about a pint after twenty five miles also no overheating problem and no water in oil.

The are only a few specific scenarios where you'd have coolant in #3.

Slipped liner.
Cracked head.
Cracked block.

There isn't a block coolant port at #3, 4, 5, and 6.

Pressure test the heads off the motor. Pressure test the block without the heads. Those are your only two tests available.

I know it's not good news. Keep me posted, I'd like to know what you find.
