coolant temps,again!
my 97 d1 with 110k has had all fairly new parts,[rad, water pump,t-stat,hoses,sensor,coolant,hyper-lube] normal driving short distances it barely gets to the t-stat temp of 195[oe] then runs in the 199 to 206 rang, after stops sitting in 85-90 temps climbs to 212 to 221,224.today i drove about 80 miles at 65 to 70 and the temp ran 206 til some traffic up to 212 and stayed there, after more stops sitting i watched my scan gauge creep to 224,228 at it's high but after moving again came down to 219,221.that's with ac on [also have 2 10" fans are fairly new] truck ran beautiful,my question is once t-stat is open and highway running with a new water pump could the circulation be so fast that the coolant doesn't sit to long anywhere so temps remain higher?[once it is already hot] and when i shut her down at 215-219-221 the fans never came on,are they supposed to at those temps?thanks in advance to those who respond with opinions,oh i did put a bottle of at-205 in it and maybe it thinned oil [20-50 pennzoil change every 3 mo] and hood liner [original] is sagging[maybe?adds to trapping heat] opinions welcome

no but bought from ab and it does seem to work because it takes awhile for truck to get up to temp and for short hops runs around 199-206,it's only after coolant gets hot that it tends to run hotter but for the most part it stays under 212
i just remember reading the thread about 230 turn off ac,240 your lucky you know cause at 250 ya got a boat anchor!!! what temp do the front fans turn on [after shutting truck off at 220degrees] cause they never came on
yeah I have read alot of 'watch out for' too but I monitored mine for a while and they never went above 228 but hovered around 205 IIRC.
I thought I saw in a thread it was 212 the A/C fans came on or maybe 220 but I dont recall mine ever coming on during that period I was monitoring it.
