Default cracked gas line, need help fastt

I have a 96 rover and on the rear passenger side I have a crack in my gas line. I was wondEring what I could use to seal it for awhile until I can get it repaired. I was thinking liquid tape but would the gas eat through that?

cut the bad section of line out with a cutting tool...replace with rubber fuel line and hose clamps..be sure NOT to make any spark or fuel will ignite and burn up your rover..keep fire extinguisher close by.

That seems more of a permenant fix which is great and exactly what ill do but I don't have time to do so until a few days from now so I was looking for something that I could just put over the crack to hold for now. Thank you though

there in no putty or anything to seal the crack with. the above repair is the only way, unless you wanna replace the whole line.

is the fuel coming from near your filter?

Default Seriously?

Where EXACTLY on the passenger side is the crack / leak?

This is not a joke, this is not an opinion and there is NO half assed way to do this. You are dealing with highly pressurized, highly volitile gasoline!

DO NOT put any tape over the crack. Gas WILL dissolve the adhesive.

ONLY replace the damaged section with fuel safe "fuel line".

I can't believe you would be resistant to Larry's or nite Train's suggestions?

Never once stated I as resistant but anyway. I have a question. I'm repairing this tmm and I was wondering how to connect the new piece of fuel line to both ends of the old one after I cut the crack out? Obv I would use the clamps but won't he fuel line be the same size as the one I have? Or will it be small enough where I can fit it inside the old one and then clamp where they meet? Thanks for the help guys

any auto parts store will (should) have fuel injection hose, rubber. cut out your damaged area, and take that with you to the parts store and tell them what you're doing. let them know it is for fuel injection. you need high pressure fuel line. then get good fuel line clamps. I would use

or an Oetiker clamp

you can crimp the ears with a side cutter.

the first pic is probably your best bet.

Oh and because this Is my only car, I can't cut it and bring it to shop so if someone knows what size fuel line I need, that would be helpful to know

Man I have no idea what the fuel line size is.
But the new rubber piece will be fitting over the old line, so make sure you get way longer than you actually need and maybe 4 clamps.
Then you can clamp it close to the crack and then again farther down with plenty of new line overlapping the old stuff.
