Craigslist OME score
Yesterday I scored a OME Heavy Duty Lift kit with front shocks for $300 still in the boxes. I just need to pick up a set of rear shocks and I should be good. I cannot wait to install it all this week.
Got is put on yesterday. It was a bit of work but over all it wasn't too bad. Next time I do one it will be a lot easier. Took it out and drove about 20 miles today and had it up to highway speed.
I have some vibration but no wobble or anything crazy. I think my Ujoints are just Old (planned to replace anyways). I also took off both sway bars. I am getting a set of Neapco ujoints for both shafts. If that don't stop the wobble I will look into a new front shaft with double cardan. I am also not too confident the rear brake line and wires are up to full flex with this lift offroad. Any thoughts?
A side project came from this. Popping the hood ripped the handle off in my hand. Luckily the hood popped so I just didn't reclose it. I took off the hood latch from the cable release and got a hood pin kit. No more hood cable for me.
