Default cruise control?

Just got my rover (series I 98' 4.0 LSE) drove it about 300 miles home with no issues other than the seat not sliding back, (saw some tube going to power motor broke) and the cruise not working. The dash button clicks in, but accelerate/ resume and decelerate and coast buttons on wheel not working? is there any simple fixes? or are the actual controls probably bad? Checked all fuses, and they're all good.

could be a vacuum leak you will need to check the hoses under the bonnet

Fuse? Also does you're horn work? If not, could be the buttons on the steering wheel not getting power through the clock spring.

Like said above, there is a vacuum line, goes through the firewall on the drivers side, to a "T" fitting. From there, one line goes to the servo by the throttle body, the other to the vacuum pump under and just behind the drivers headlight. Check all the tubing and fittings for cracks/leaks
