so it looks like i did have a bad switch, i took one from a car at the junk yard and threw it in and the switch works perfect, i can hear the system click on when i push the switch now, i couldnt before. also looks like i found the linkage, though i'm not 100% sure as the end that hooks to the throttle was removed and chillin under the windshield, looks right though, can anyone confirm this?

i haven't yet driven and tested, will do that when i go pick up my wife from work in a little bit.

To check the pump is easy. I had the same problem you have, I replaced the hoses, it didn't work, pull out the pump, check it (direct connection to battery), and it worked just fine, it did pull the gas as it should, but the whole system still doesn't work. I just gave up on it, but it is a shame, since that is the only reason I don't take my LR on long trips anymore. So when you get your fixed, let me know the trick.

welll i tested the pump, it functioned, not sure how well but it did. that switch however was too rusted up to do anything so i've disassembled it and cleaned it up so it works now, so maybe that'll fix my problem, i'm testing the system tonight...

yea well i normally do that but making a 1800 mile trip cross country wont be as enjoyable like that.

still doesnt work. how can i test that the pump is getting signal and working when the car tells it to? and if its not what would be stopping it?

That's where I stopped, there is an electronic controller somewhere, (Look it up on the RAVE), and before I even looked for it in the car, I checked the price, and decided to let it go. However, I am still hoping you fix yours for a decent price and tell me how. Keep trying man.
