Default cruise control vacuum hose routing

I have a 96 disco with 145k miles. The cruise control is inoperative. I fixed the lines at the T, followed the one to the front which was split and disconnected. I didn't pull out the actuator or whatever that is behind the grill, but I could feel to places where the hose could fit. One, which seemed right since it actually was an open line, the hose wouldn't fit over, the other felt more like a plug. Which one is the hose supposed to go on? I know this seems kinda stupid(and long winded), but I would appreciate any help out there.

Find the Rave manual and look it up, I have no idea outside of the under the hood routing.

I pulled mine out and mounted it on the wall to the backside of the head light. Best advice I could give.

I pulled mine out a while back, was looking for a good place to re-mount it.

Out of curiosity, is there any specific obd II scanner you guys would recommend? and would I need to find/DL the disco codes?
