D1 Front overhead console: 3 unknows connectors
Hello,
I took the headliner out of my disco (to glue the sagging headline).
Vut now 3 unknown cable looms -unplugged- with each a female connector are appearing above the front overhead console.
- driver side : small black square connector with 2 feeds, black and green/white.
- passenger side : idem dito.
- center : taller black rounded connector with 3 feeds, black, lightgreen/brown, darkgreen.
What are they for ? What could they feed if plugged in ?
Anybody an idea ? My Disco is a 300Tdi manual from may 1998 (without electric sun roofs nor supplementary A/C at the back).
Black connector -at the right side of the picture
Smal square black connector at both driver and passenger side
Greetings from Belgium,
PierroDisco

The black and white/green on each side are the sun visor mirror courtesy lights.
Not sure about the one in the middle......I'd have to take things apart for that (which I will if nobody else knows - my headliner is already out but I put the plastic piece back up for now - headliner is done so taking that down might motivate me to install it )

Eureka !
Hello,
Thanks both for the information.
Meanwhile I looked in the Landroverforums history and I found some similar items and some pictures.
So no doubt I can plug in sunvisors with courtesy light en auto-dim mirrors with compass with even 2 maplights !
On E-bay I found already some for Discovery 1 from 1998 (but they are similar to those for “early” Disco 2).
Much greetings from Belgium,
PierroDisco

D1 Installing mirror CTB100240 from D2 ?
Hello,
I want to install in my Disco 300 Tdi (may 1998) the rear view mirror with compass CBT100240 used in early Disco 2 registrations.
But do they mate with the existing base mount on the windscreen in my D1 ? Has anyone some experience on this ?

Center 3 pin connector could be for sun roof motor or switches, or could be for ultrasonic occupancy sensor for theft protection.
The mount for the rear view mirror is probably the same, but I don't know for sure. Removing the mirror takes a sharp downward (parallel to the glass) blow for my '96 electric mirror.
