How common was the rear AC unit in a D1? We have a D1 opened up right now that has a Denso unit, the install seems really "hacked", yet factory. Interesting how the alpine window is basically a duct for it with the addition of two clear acrylic sheets to feed the roof vents.

Rear A/C was only for the 7 passenger models, i.e. SD7, SE7. The one's that have the two rear folding jump seats.

 

My 95 SE7 has rear air.

 

headliner is cut back and has extra holes for the additional duct work, so unless you get all non ac rear trim pieces it'll look funny

 

Funny is fine, the truck is non-restorable since so much metal has converted to rust. A couple years, max, and it will be scrap.

 

Off topic, but what is more rare: A Silver paint/grey leather interior Series I Disco (running and on the road) or a Yeti?
