Is there a significant difference in the overall dashboard shape between the D1 and D2? I ask because we want to put a cover on it to give it some protection from the sun, and the only D1 covers I can find so far are for one without the passenger airbag. I'm guessing a D2 cover won't fit right, but I don't have one handy to compare to.

Thanks, FantomRover. That gave me the answer I was looking for. Looks like they are close enough for me to order a D2 cover.

 

I had a customer install a DII dash in his DI here in CT about two years ago. He had no trouble with the install at all.
