Out of curiosity what are some of the more familiar gauges one would have in that pod?

If you are having trouble with your blinkers just grab a bottle of this. I have found it to be the best out there. Blinker Fluid - $18.95 : KaleCoAuto.com, Your home for the rare, unusual, and hard to find auto parts.

I was going to put a gauge pod there also , but have a larger base plate cut to follow the contour along the "ski jump" dash I have to hold it down. and use wrinkle paint to cover the plate

Default An idea

Just sharing an idea of what I have discovered while building upon what others have already shared and posted.

A person took a large phone/small tablet and put it in a pod like holder.

I may experiment with this farther, with a small tablet/large phone one could create many types of automations via geo-fencing, access to webcams, real time traffic display etc...

I always thought the gauge pod that Monteros used were really trick. I think the FJ's had something similar. Maybe some theme along those lines ...there are some aftermarket pods I've seen on ebay in the past. Probably not enough room to stick a CB up there (might be a theft magnet too).

Nice...
The Monteros looks like original old school, I like it!
It is a reality but I really dislike factoring in having nice things vs it being stolen.

I have already planned but not yet built a multi device surround that will hold a 7 inch tablet running ultragauge and a 6 inch Garmin with backup camera.

Here is the tablet I'm working with. I'll have it hardwired in to the electrical system. And hopefully I can find an app that will put it in to hibernation mode when power is turned off, then back on with power. School is taking up most of my time. Slow progress...
