Default Defender brakes worth it?

I've read alot about the upgrade, but no details on how well they work. How much better are they? I've got a leaky caliper so nows the time to upgrade if its worthwhile.

Brett (fishEH) and jake run them and both have described them as "****" and the like. They are on my list of upgrades. I'm sure they will chime in soon.

Haha. **** are great, but how bout more then a one word description? How big a difference? I'm leaning toward them right now, and I've already upgraded my lines so that should help as well, but my abs is dead.

They're a lot of dough, not to say they're not worth it. Stock Disco brakes aren't too bad either, I would say save the cash and just run some drilled rotors with some EBC pads or something.

In my humble opinion I dont think its worth the time and money, but I have not driven a truck equipped with them.

well im looking around 75 for the once caliper, or bout 250 for defender calipers, rotors and pads. so overall not too much more, but the time to change the rotors is all thats got me thinking twice. im all for better brakes, but the process to change them is a pita.

You also need to reroute your brake line and a few other things to make the Defender calipers fit.

They aren't any more money than stock Disco parts. So if you need to replace your calipers there's no reason NOT to do it. Get your stuff from Justin. Calipers are $100 a pop. Rotors are another $100 for the pair. Pads are $35 or something.

And yes the difference is night and day.

There's no "few other things" You need two 12-18" brake lines with the fittings already on from any parts store. They're $5 a piece. Bend them by hand.
Wham bam stop on a dime.
