Describe the PERFECT Disco 1
50th Anniversary really isn’t all that special. It was just the 50th year of LR and all the 1998 Discovery’s would have the sticker on each side of the rear cargo windows. Maybe an embroidered floormat at but that’s about it. They weren’t special editions. I do think it is cool and adds some extra value to have the 98 with the decals. Maybe not much but they were only offered in 98 so it counts for something.
They all had the window stickers in 98 celebrating 50 years, but the actual 50th Anniversary package = different color seats, different wheels, floor mats. Yes it’s not a huge deal but it was like a $1,000.00 optional package and a Special Edition.
Callaway RR P38, came in 3 colors Red, Grey, and Black if I’m not mistaken with a one of a kind carbon fiber intake tube, tweaked engine, tweaked ECU, and the # of which unit on the dash. Had Proline 18’s, dual exhaust and the usual RR stuff.
Yep I probably shouldn’t have sold mine, but I enjoyed it & now the new owner is doing the same (I keep in touch). They’ve had it nearly two years with just one issue, when a brake line T started leaking. Besides that nada zip nothing.
What’s the going rate for a very clean rust free D2, 140k, female owned, head gaskets done, water pump and thermostat replaced, fan and fan clutch, boiled and cleaned radiator and condenser. It’s and Se7 white it has a big a$$ roof rack and front bumper with professionally wired led lights on bumper and rack, new tires. I haven’t seen it yet going tomorrow to look. I have the Parts off my other 98 to take care of the CDL.
5k ish if it’s in very good condition. If it’s rusty, interior is falling apart, stuff under the hood is zip tied & held together with tape (air box lid for example) 1- 2k tops. People will throw a hissy when someone sells a D2 for 5-10k, but if all the issues are addressed then you get to jump in and enjoy it vs a huge project. I personally would rather pay more for a well kept LR vs another project vehicle or money pit!
