DI frame thicker than DII?

Maybe use a RRC lwb frame for a 109? Lots of work I assume. I asked about it on dweb once and everyone suggested it would be easier to get a coiler frame specifically for series rovers. I guess the places that sell replacement frames can do them up.

Thanks jafir. From what I've seen, I can buy a D1 (or RRC) in pretty good shape for less than I can buy a new coiler chassis for a 109. It would be a lot of work, but would be a fun project with the boys.

I think the lwb is 108" the wheel wells might be closer on that. Less cutting maybe?
