Well...what is the asking price? Is there a maintenance record available? What does loaded mean? Is it an SD, SE or SE7? Any upgrades?

I was kinda thinkin that...

I had a 97 SE7 I bought new in 97 sold it in 99,That being said I just dont remember much about them..And it was under warranty....Now I have a 04 DII I bought new and have dealt with the DII gremlins, plan on keeping till the wheels fall off.
Years passing and my memory... are there the same issues with the DI now as the DII..ie head gaskets ect.?

I would look for hidden rust since it has spent its life in a wet climate. check the pillars and areas around the sun roofs. crawl underneath and check floors. lift carpets and check floors from top. check various points in the frame. I grew up in the "northern rust belt" and will never buy a vehicle that has started rusting again.....it's such a pain to deal with. I have no problem buying a clean $1000 vehicle with a thrashed drive train, but IMHO $1000 for a vehicle with rust problems is not worth it.

For $1000, running & serviced, i do not see how you could complain at all. i would jump on it immediately before some other lucky soul does!

It's rare we see these stories, it is usually someone spent a lot more and is trying to determine if they can save it for $1000. Or it's someone with a really nice one that is in great shape except for the engine overheats really bad and often and they want to sell it can they get 2500 to 3500 for it cause the interior is so nice and they just put a lift on it or new tires and need their money back that maybe it just needs a new thermostat and then will be worth 20K.
