Default Diff guards

If you're interested. Randy at rover bones is selling really sturdy weld on diff guards for $100 for a pair I believe. I can't wait to put them on. I picked mine up but the shipping varies state to state. If you want a pair hit him up.

Problem is they really only protect your pumpkin, on the rear, when going backwards compared to a set of QT's that protect you when going forward and backwards.

I'm not sure i understand. why would they protect the back? the back is exposed with these as is the pinion, luckily i drive forward on the trails.

Yeah. But. Problem is qt's are stupid expensive. I could buy three sets of these and weld them all over my diff like a juggernaut for the price of qt's. I try not to back up trails too often. Not a quitter

By the pictures, I didn't see any pinion protection, if they have that I missed it and am wrong, pretty much just look like pumpkin covers only.

Looks like a good option for those who like the weld-on thing. However, these won't protect the same way a QT or similar will.

If you want serious protection replace the pan with a pipe cap, then install a pinion protector which is cheap and easy to make.

It'd be an eight inch pipe cap but there's a LOT of work that's involved with welding and grinding and beveling. It's a lot of work. But yeah. Those caps are like 5/8 thick
