Those look nicely made, how thick is the material they are fabbed out of? From the looks of them you'd need one heck of a welder to properly install them.

On a side note what are our differentials made out of? As usual I have no clue about Rovers but I know welding mild steel to a cast differential housing is a bad idea.

The axle housing isn't cast and you don't weld them to the diff housing.

Those are freakin' beefy! Wow. I have no idea who manufactured the weld-on ones on my axles, but they've changed shape after some solid hits to rocks. I can't see those guards giving much if any.

Randy is the original Rover Bones, right? Not the guy who hi-jacked his business name?

Which is why his website is now britishboneyard.com as opposed to roverbones. Yeah. I'm not saying they're better than qt's I'm not saying they have pinion protection. I'm saying they're a set of (5/16? Maybe) thick super awesome DIFF guards for stupid cheap.
Slowrider, yeah you have to be careful when welding them on so you don't cook the diff oil. Randy suggested running four big tack welds instead of beading the whole thing. Invade I wanna pop em off again

I seen them when I was down there Monday picking up a Drive shaft. I wish I would have seen them before I got my Rovers North, and they seem thicker than my RN. I might trade up soon.

What kind of welder will you be using? If you take it a few inches at a time you can pretty safely weld the entire joint without fear of cooking anything. I'd change the fluid afterward anyway just in case you get any hot spots. You can usually contain the heat if you know what you're doing but welding material that thick always brings some heat.
