Does anyone have any information regarding the installation of an ARB Deluxe bumper designed for the Disco 2 Being installed on my Disco 1? I came across a really good deal on one and I’m curious if it will fit in mine. The picture attached is the one I would be buying I’m not sure if it’s of any help

 

 

It bolts up just fine, I just put one on my D1 from a D2.

Just unbolt it from the D2, pull the D1 bumper off, and slide it onto the D1.

An engine puller/cherry picker makes this easily doable by a single person.

You will have a slight gap in-front of the grill from where the D2 bumps out but the D1 does not.

I can grab a photo of mine install here around lunchtime.

 

I'm running a D1 ARB on my 99 D2, and when I had a 98 D1 LSE I ran a 99-02 ARB bumper without any issues. The main differences are the cut off around where the grills are. 03-04 grills are shorter so the bumper isn't cut out like the 94-99 D1 ARB or 99-02 D2 ARB's. Also when I mounted the D1 ARB onto the D2 I had to cut off two small sections due to the D2's different front cross member area at the frame. You will not have to do that with a D2 ARB going onto a D1.
