Default Disco II bull bar on Disco I??

Are the frame rails on a disco II the same as a disco I because a guy down the street from me is selling his bull bar and i wanted to make sure before i bought it?? Basically are they the same distance apart?

I believe I read somewhere on the DII forum (back when they were one) that the DII front end is wider than the DI and so none of the front end stuff is interchangeable. I would take that to mean the factory brush guard also. But make sure with someone else on here. And do a search, I know the subject has come up before.

Take a tape measure to both vehicles. That should be the quickest way to check it out.

I have both 1994 D1 and 2001 D2 .And they are pretty much the same , what is 1/4 inch here or there. When I measured from outside of the frame they are the same , inside of the frame there is difference.D2 is 1/4 of an inch wider , nothing that little of the modification can't fix it.But that is just me.Anyhow how much is he asking for the brush bar?

i talked him down to 120 for the brush bar. its got a tiny bit of rust on one part, just surface. all i care about is the frame rail attachment.
