Default Disco newbie saying hi

Well my first Disco (ex wife has D4 TDV6 HSE though) I picked it up as a run around to carry and tow during renovations but have to say I am pretty impressed with the way it drives being a 1999 poverty pack V8 auto with only 106,000km and had a PPI by a LR shop and they said it was probably one of the best they had seen. Not sure why I need 3 V8's but damn they sound good! I am going to replace radiator hoses, thermostat, cap, servce radiator, valve cover gaskets (a little weepy) coil, plugs, rotor, dizzie cap, leads, serpentine belt, all filters and service trans. Am I being a bit OCD....car runs perfectly but last serviced a few years back (only a couple of thousand kms driven)
Moving to Tasmania on New Years Day....and I suspect I will probably do some off roading down there now that I have a capable vehicle

Use a thin bead of right stuff or your favorite oil resistant sealant on the valve covers.

Default thanks for the welcome...

well on a few forums and I think LR guys might even be a bit kinder than BMW and Porsche forums I will remember the tip for the valve covers.

Or you could just make sure the valve cover bolts are tight

sorry...poverty pack is an aussie expression meaning that it has pretty much no options fitted...bit like "classic" or "CV= customer value"
I also liked the fact that my car had no options like electronic aids, airbags etc
