Default Discover 94 electrical problem help!

I have a 1994 discovery with an electrical problem, I fixed the alternator and replaced the battery and it runs fine during the day, but at night, the lights in the car go down until the car runs out of power until I jump start it again. The mechanics can't find the problem...HELP

check the routing of the belt.
i bought my 96 rover being told the alternator was bad. i replaced it and it didn't fix the problem.
i checked the belt routing and it was wrong. fixed the belt routing and what do you know, it worked.
sounds easy, but it is easy to overlook. and the belt goes on wrong, easier than it goes on right.

Default ?????????????? =

What Danny means is IF your belt is routed incorrectly ..."That will definitely give you a problem"

That Diagram (if you have A/C...and who doesn't?) is the correct route. Otherwise your Alt will not charge the batt.
