I am working to restore a 1997 discovery I

i have allot of questions but for today my question is are the plastic door sills the same for a disco I and II. Mine are toast and the only ones I can find as replacement are from a 2004 II ….

well, when you say plastic door sills, what exactly are you referring to.

 

The plastic thresholds at the step in entry Point that covers the interface between the body and the carpet.

If I recall correctly - the mounting holes do not line up - I've got some at the shop I can compare this evening.

You can however use the D2 model, make your own holes, then use the trim piece that covers the screws and no one would know.
I use the trim piece for the screws on my D1 sills to keep them from getting crusty

Thanks - well let me know. The disco I are extremely hard to find. I see some disco II complete but missing one cover. I may just need to take the chance and re-drill the holes. The ones I found is missing a front door cover.

 

If you can find some get the older RRC aluminum ones!!!!!
