I realized (the day I bought the Disco) that those clips weren't factory, since they were black clips against a grey headliner. The PO had used some awfully atrocious HEART-SHAPED tacks to hold the headliner up. It was like some 14-year old girl bejeweled my headliner!

I've since removed that god-awful mess and I'm switching over to black headliner material from Bill at Headliner Express. (Should arrive in a few days.)

Kinda excited to tackle my headliner project!

I looked today and my D1 has two of those in the center cross brace, they do match the headliner color, You might try an auto parts store that has the HELP line of universal parts. they might have something that would work.

Hate to adit it but I also put about a dozen of he clear plastic upholstery pins in to hold the fabric up. just don't have the ambition to tackle the headliner. I think my backing material is sagging a bit too. got the pins at Walmart, 8 pins for $1.77

Hey Jim, Walmart was one of the places I checked for headliner clips today. Didn't find what you did though. So I headed to one of the local body shops. The owner brought back a handful of clips for me to look through, and I found two black ones with a head diameter 4mm larger than what I have. They'll work perfectly! And he wouldn't let me pay him for them either.

I can't WAIT to tackle my headliner! Pretty excited to see that nice black material up there when I'm done. I don't have any before pics, but I'll sure post some 'after' pics!
