Engine ecm mounted on the pass side wheel well with a plastic cover, wheel well rots out ecm gets wet and rots, probly that simple may need to unhook battery and unplug ecm check for Water in plug, or even remove ecm and open careful look for water inside, electrical plugs on these suck and should be unplugged slathered with dielectric grease and plugged back in to help with water
