Default E-brake is getting insanely hot.

Just what the title says. After about a 15~20mins drive its to hot to touch. The brake light isn't on, nor is the e-brake pulled. The funny thing is if you pull it the radio shuts off for a little bit (just the sound the actual radio doesn't seem like its affected). Same if I turn my lights on or switch between norm and brights.

Weird issue. There tow possibilities for it getting hot, one is adjustment, in which case the brake pads are too tight and rubbing against the drum or electrical issue. In this case it sounds sounds like a wiring issue. Like a hot wire is rubbing against a part of the park brake mechanism causing a very minor short circuit.

I would try to follow the cable from underneath and look for any electrical cable on the way, you get pretty far up following it, though more than likely the issue is way inside the center console, there are lost of wires there.

I pulled the console off as much as i could to get at the e-brake and it doesn't look like anything is rubbing on it or even open wire.

Check the switch and wiring that turns the parking brake light on on the dashboard.
