Default Electrical Problem - Main plus connector

Hay all,

I've just bought a 1997 Disco V8. It had several owners before and it seems that one of them, for some reason, decided to connect the permanent plus electric wire to the car's switch.
As it happens, I don't have interior cabin lights (unless the switch is on), the clock and the radio resets them self and so on.

Any ideas where should I start looking for this connection?

Regards,

Yaron.

You can download the whole RAVE shop manual set, it contains the electrical diagrams and wire colors. You'll have to disconnect one end of the "after market" wire to do any diagnostics. They could have installed if they had a problem with alarm immobilization, or the Multifunction unit is bad (behind fuse block, controls timing and dimming of interior lights), etc.
