ok so I went to the hardware store and picked up a washer and o-ring and got it to work without leaking. my pressure readings are

cold............................./........................warm

idle................30psi......../...............idle.............24psi

2000rpm.........31psi......../.............2000rpm........26psi

Idle was around 800rpm, this engine does have seafoam in the the oil that the previous owner put in before I bought but it hasnt been drivin with the seafoam in it, just started. I need to do an oil change before I drive it. Also could this noise be a carbon knock and what product is best to put in the gas tank to help clean this problem and is their any good additives to put in the oil when I change it, to clean up the rockers in case the previous owner wasnt using the correct fuel? Thanks for all the help so far and let me know how bad the oil readings are haha.

Pretty damn nice looking guage additions if you ask me. Looks like they hooked you up good. After seeing yours I think I'll order me a set as well. Which temp sender do you use for the water temp?

DannyLee-your truck already has a oil cooler, that why it takes 7 qts of oil and not 6.

You can use any oil pressure gauge you want with that sandwich thingy.
But the Glowshift one is probably a easier install as I think their gauges are made to work with the adapter.

As for the sludge, you need to remove the intake plenum to remove the valve covers.

Sorry, ADD sucks.

Your oil pressure numbers are good.
Change the oil and drive man.

What other tests should I do to figure out this knock, its very loud but I can not pinpoint it with a stethoscope.

I have the same problem. I am wondering if it has something to do with the timing chain due to the rattle? It is driving me crazy. Also mine doesn't want to start sometimes either but that's probably the coil. Let me know if you figure it out

I have that same rattle sound with mine at times. What is the course of action. I apoligize for any highjacking infringements, but I was under the impression that monitioring oil pressure went along with the subject of engine knock/rattle and associated potential oil pump/pressure discussion.

In the bigger sense of it all................

There are no other tests to figure it out.
Change the oil and filter and see if it goes away.

Short story, this last winter I bought Pennzoil Platinum 5w-30, after about 4,000 miles when hot my truck was noisy as hell, sounded like ball bearings inside the crank case.
Changed the oil and the noise went away.

I would change the oil as well. The Seafoam will thin out your oil, which is why I wouldn't use it in the oil to start with, but change the oil and filter and see what happens. You may also want to bang the cats with a rubber mallet to rule them out. They can fail and the material knocking around will sound like an engine knock.
