Default Engine Know or Valve Noise

So, can I just say first that I think this would be the coolest vehicle ... if I could keep it running reliably for more than 2 days.

Its a 99 (according to title, i think it was actually made in 98), and I replaced the engine with a used one with a little under 100,000 miles, vehicle has 145,000. Granted I bought this 9 months ago and I have only driven it 200 miles at most, mainly cause things keep going wrong mostly with swivel ball hell as I like to call it.
*Edit* Title is supposed to say Engine Knock

But now this started, I know I have the exhaust is leaking at the manifold to y-pipe connection, but I don't think that would make a knock this loud. It only happens when the vehicle warms up and is driven a little bit, I am just not sure if its really bad lifter knock or rod knock. The video posted (can't see since its in dark) starts off on top of the engine with it ending but putting it under the vehicle to listen from below.

If you guys thinks its a rod, then how hard is it change out the bearings with engine in?

I am getting pretty tired of this thing, I can't afford to never have a working vehicle now that I don't have my car, not sure whether to cut my losses and get rid of it or try and get it running

It could be the cat's, lets rule those out first.
Go knock on them with a small hammer, if they rattle start there.

To change the rod bearings, simple.
Jack up the truck and support front frame on jack stands.
Remove the oil pan.
Replace rod bearings.
The front axle must be hanging down as far as it can.

Sounds pretty simple. Let us know when you complete it.

Haha, that does sound simple, I am sure its harder in fact. But yeah, I keep reading conflicting things, wouldn't it make this sound no matter when it was started? It only makes it if warms up and I drive it around for a while.

I will check the cats, and I am going to replace my manifold gaskets and y-pipe gasket.

That sounds like lifters.... Check your oil pressure COLD (LET SIT OVERNIGHT) Cold: Idle and COLD: at 2500 RPM then let it warm up and see WARM: IDLE and WARM: 2500 RPM. Tell us the numbers.. I currently have a issue with my bearings on the crank (low oil pressure at idle, warm only and new oil pump) so let me know what you find. Dose it go away if you rev the engine?

It sounds like the wrist pin on the connecting rod. Does is sometimes go away leaving the engine to sound perfectly fine or is it constant. If it is the wrist pin and I've seen this on other Rovers, the engine will die of something else long before this has any affect on it. Just another way Rovers like to draw attention to themselves.

Rod bearings. Mine does the same thing. Dumb !@# Land Rover used a bearing with no oil groove. It is a solid surface bearing and will wear quick.
