ENGINE MISS with AC running
I've searched a lot on this and turned up nothing.
I have a 1992 RRC, but posted in here since the platforms are similar and there are a lot more disco one forum members...
Anyway, my rig is overall awesome, the only issue I have is that when I run my AC, the motor misses. Has anyone experiences this? is it possibly as simple as a loose Alternator belt?
I have not started troubleshooting yet, just trying to gain a little from others experiences before I dive in.
this rig has 135K, its all up to par on maintenance.
thanks,
MIke

Load relay, logic relay, compressor clutch relay. All under the RH footwell kick panel. The load relay gets it's "on" signal from the ignition switch. How's the ignition switch.....original? IDK the exact answer I'm just hunting and pecking for whats sucking voltage away from the sparklers. Compressor belt tension is 4 to 6mm deflection, fairly tight. Normally the compressor will put a really high load on the motor if the high pressure side is too high. Has the A/C been serviced?

Thanks for the reply, may have already nailed it. I failed to mention that the vehicle runs smooth with the ac on until it reaches full heat soak.
The ac was recently serviced, the atmospheric conditions at the time were far less hostile than now , so I will first check the ac pressures against spec and see if the high side is beyond limits.
Thanks again for the lead.
