Default Engine swap for a 95 3.9?

What engines are a good swap for a 95 disco? Is there anything that could drop in with little modification?

The 4.2 used in the Range Rover Classic is a easy swap and produces a lot more power.

300Tdi and an R380
Not a drop in, but not crazy either as all parts are off-the-shelf.

Did you ever do a swap? I have 98 that needs a new engine and I'm trying to decide what to do.

I have a low compression 3.9L out of a 1990 Range Rover in mine...I don't know the reasoning behind the low compression 3.9L though...my friend, a Rover expert, calls them a 'high mileage' engine.

I saw someone mention the 4.2L, and that started all sorts of crazy ideas in my head LOL!
