Are all the body panels on a 1997 Disco 1 aluminum? Any exceptions?

 

There are exceptions. The roof is steel.

I will check this out when I get home using a magnet. I had this idea of stripping the truck and polishing the aluminum. I have a lot of experience with aircraft aluminum. My truck needs paint and it would look cool stripped and polished. I live in Georgia so corrosion shouldnt be an issue like up north.

Yes a lifted Airstream! My son needs the character building too, he offered to help. A few hours on the buffer will build some real good character!

 

You could use Alodine and conversion coat it. Or do it like a Delorean and Gold Plate it.
