Default fan clutch question

I know the fan clutch should not spin freely when cold and only should just move slightly when I try to spin it. mine does just that. The question is... if I keep trying to spin it will it start to move freely? When my engine is cold and i try to spin the fan, it only moves slightly but, if i keep spinning it it starts to free up and eventually can get it to spin about 1 and a half revolutions. Is this normal?

You now need to spin the fan when the engine is hot.
It should be 2 times harder to spin when hot then cold.

Ok. thanks. I'll try that as soon as I get the radiator back from the shop.

It will loosen up the more it spins, all of the fluid inside it settles to the bottom overnight and once it spins it re-distributes and allows the fan to spin freely.
In the tech section is a cheaper alternative.
