Default fast blinker

Dumb question, are the left and right turn signals on separate flashers?

My left blinks normal, right blinks super fast like a bulb is out,

no bulbs are out

Mine is exactly the same. Left is normal, right is fast, and will slow down and speed up some too.

Since it still works, haven't messed with it. I was told by a somewhat dubious source that it is caused by having the wrong type of bulb in it, that different resistance in the circuit is causing the issue.

Are you sure you don't have a bulb out? Did you replace one with a lower wattage bulb or LED?

strange, maybe try switching the bulb out with a correct wattage one. The only time I've seen the signal blink fast is if there was reduced load on the circuit. That's one of the reasons I keep my signal bulbs from the bumper taped up under the truck. I'm too lazy to but resistors in and don't like the fast blinking if I pull them out.

On my dodge I changed to all led and just had to install a HD flasher for normal blink, when we build my new rear bumper I was gonna delete the bumper lights anyway

My trailer lights still worked fine after installing the EP26.
