Default fender flares

Got a set of fender flares off a D2. Matched them up and they are going work great since I have enlarged the openings on the D1 already. Will take some minor trimming but looks like it will work.

My question is what is the best adhesive to attack them to the sheetmetal? The residue that is left on there from original install looks like some sort of adhesive, but they pulled off the D2 rather easily.

I was thinking the same thing, I used it to mount license plates and a few other things car washes have never ripped them off so it should be good for the flares

2x just make sure you get the exterior (Dark grey/black) one not the interior (white) tape.

I mounted some tabs for securing a wire loom to my windscreen trim with that stuff in 2007 and they still have not come off.
