trust me he is not getting the whole thing for 60. They are selling the plastic tank for 60. The lowest price for the tank with motor is 97 bucks

one more thing when you replace the whole tank you have to have the fittings which are not included. you have to order them from partsgeek

ESR3926 is the part number, look it up online. Yes, your good to go.

It's for a pre-AEL truck which would actually work on mine as well. Most sites will list it covering a Disco from 94 - 97, early 97 trucks are pre-AEL and late 97 are AEL. AEL uses a pressure sensor in the tank mounted to the pump housing. Pre-AEL do not have the pressure sensor - much less pain in the **** as far as I'm concerned.......

The "plastic tank" reference is not about the pump housing, the pump is mounted in a plastic fuel tank as all Disco's are. If the seller was only selling the pump housing shell without the pump motor they would have to clearly state so otherwise their feedback would be in the basement and they'd be run off the site.

I really love it when folks get their panties in a wad due to lack of knowledge and cause everyone else to panic. I'm a hands on guy with Land Rovers.

You have a 6 year warranty too, if it was just a shell the warranty would be much longer, nothing left to go wrong except the float....lol.

Hopefully you get it soon and we can move on to bigger and more challenging things..... like rust repair......lol.

No one sells brand new landrover fuel pumps on ebay for $60.
so you have no clue what you are talking about. And they do state it in the ad when the motor is included by the way. They dont call it a motor they call it a sending unit for your information. I have already read all the posts on ebay for
fuel pumps and contacted the sellers directly everyone has a different name for a fuel pump and yes they do sell the platic container empty and they call it a fuel pump. no where in the post does it say its an electric fuel pump or that it is just the housing. People who know parts and know old landrovers know this already. You could go get the whole pump and housing in a wrecking yard
for about 30 bucks if you can find one in one piece

You should definitely get all worked up over a part that doesn't impact you at all. He'll have the new part soon enough and someone will be right and someone will be wrong, but who really cares?

after restoring several classic landrovers, I know how to get the parts necessary and save people thousands of dollars. A fuel pump runs around $300 if you get it from a local autopart store. Most people do not know you can just replace the motor. In a organic search the motor does not show up, you have to know what they are calling the part. Im not getting worked up over anything.
I just bought a motor for my 94 and I was just letting that guy know he was getting an empty tank for $60. I know the only two ads on ebay are for empty tanks that do not come with the motor. I do not make statements about things I cannot back up. Men are not the only mechanics and most men do not have the experience I have with repairing cars. Been doing it for 45 years
