Been hearing "clicking" sounds emanating from the from wheels of my 98 Discovery - Mostly while turning (particularly when also accelerating).

I've been hunting for a thread on CV Joint troubleshooting/replacement - Unable to find one so far.......Can anyone offer some insight into this problem with my Disco? Any tips on verifying the problem? How big a job is CV Joint replacement?

(p.s. I've been lurking on this site for some time - have picked up great info and advise)

 

You might also check the oil or grease in the swivel housings. If the joints are dry and are already clicking the damage has been done, but you might get a little more life if you fill them up with oil or grease.
