Default Fuel injection controller....

Might be the wrong name but it the computer mod located on the pass side. I know it says something about fuel injection... anyways, can I completely remove it? Does is also power the fuel pump or anything else I should know of?

I'm in the process of removing any and all unnecessary systems/wires etc from the truck in prep for this engine swap...

That is the engine ECU.
The cam sensor controls the injectors.

So being the engine is gone, there should be no reason I could't cut it and all it's wiring out right?

Keep everything until the new engine runs.

as your new engine should only require one or two wires to start/run, id say just follow the main harness from the ecu and remove everything connected to the engine controller...

1 wire actually, just the wire to the glow plugs.

Thinking about reusing the rover fuel pump as a backup to the manual lift pump hence the question about it being ran though the fuel injector control...

Truck happens to have a brand new fuel pump in it with only 30 miles on it.
