Default Fuel Pump???

Okay so I've replaced Dizzy cap, rotor, vacuum advance, wires and spark plugs. But I've also had this problem for a few weeks. When ever I have to cold start her, I have to give it some gas. If I just turn on the truck it will idle kind sluggish and just die. If I give it some gas and run the RPMs up to 1000 for a few mins she'll drive just fine. I also don't have a problem when driving. It seems when the engine warms up it's fine. I'm wondering if it could be a fuel pump, filter issue. Any ideas?? Thanks

Did you replace your fuel filter? I would suggest you clean the t/body as well as the IAC and the hole it fits into.
Let us know if that helps.

No I haven't changed the filter. I was going to in the next few days. Could you tell me exactly where the IAC is at? I'm not really sure what I'm looking for and I can't really find alot in the Rave. Thanks again.

It is in the Rave, sorry, I can't remember where it is located without looking at the engine.

He has a '95, with the dizzy. IIRC it's on the backside of the plenum. Also clean the "TEE" piece and associated hoses out while you are in there.

Yeah I got her fixed. After taking some time and looking around. I noticed that the PO had all sorts of things backwards. IAC was plugged in wrong so it was grounding out. Vac lines were routed wrong. And all sorts of good stuff. Anyway fixed all that, changed the fuel filter cleaned the crap out of the T body. I have a small vac leak but nothing major. Gonna replace the thermostat this week-end and I should be good to go. Thanks for all the help.
